Dashaun "Jiwe" Morris (Keshawn)
Acclaimed author of "War of the Bloods in my Veins" (A Street Soldiers March to Redemption), Dashaun "Jiwe" Morris was known on the streets as "Machete" from Newark, NJ. He is a reformed member of the Bloods, and a full-time gang consultant. He seeks to end the cycle of gang violence through Juvenile Intervention work. A sought-after lecturer, Jiwe speaks throughout the United States as a spokesperson for The Stay Strong Foundation sharing his unique experiences and the horrible truth about living a gang lifestyle with kids and parents in an effort to inspire them to make better life decisions. Jason Barkley (Keshawn)
Jason is happy and honored to be a part of the Soul of Dawn family. Born and raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, he has undergone extensive training which has led to his appearance in films including Pride and Glory with Edward Norton and Colin Farrell, and Julia and Julia with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. Jason hopes you enjoy the eye opening experience of One Hour 2 Live.
Jarred Solomon (Jason)
Jarred is from Roselle, New Jersey. He began his acting career performing in the off broadway play Black Metropolis. He went on to land credits on television including NBC's 30 Rock, and Ugly Betty. He recently landed his first film role in the indie film Up in the Attic, produced by Kamal Imani Productions. Jarred is honored to be a part of the Soul of Dawn production One Hour 2 Live, with the hopes it will inspire young people to think twice before taking another person's life.
Karintia De Jesus (Crystal)
Karintia De Jesus is a Dominican born actress fluent in English, Spanish and Italian. She began pursuing a career in acting at the age of 18 by enrolling in lessons at TVI Actors Studios in New York City. Since then, Karintia has been cast for both minor and leading parts in film and theatre, including a principal role in "Scrolls: The Book of Life," which showcased in the 2007 New York Independent Film Festival. Prior to her debut as a leading actress in the feature film, "Scrolls: The Book of Life, Karintia landed small parts in films such as, "Falling in Rhythm", "The Orphan King", "The Demon Shells", Hole In The Wall, and "3X Harder." In addition to acting, Karintia was part of a professional Modern/Jazz Dance group while she lived in the Dominican Republic. During this time she also had a part-time job as a Co-host for Neon 89, a well-known radio station in Santo Domingo. Currently, Karintia has begun preparing for her lead role in the theatre production, One Hour 2 Live. She is also working in short martial arts films produced by BXTroopers Productions and is due to start filming the "Vindicator", a pilot, that when completed, will be published online as webisodes.
Nihara Nichelle (Tisha)
Nihara has appeared on stage in New York City and Chicago (Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago Theatre Co.), on television and commercials in L.A. and Atlanta (WB's "The Parkers", FOX's "Vanished", Cingular Wireless, The GA Lottery, etc.), and has worked with musicians and producers in New York City and Atlanta singing a fusion of soul, jazz, funk, and rock including Marshall Law, Chris Rob, Louis Uribeaux and Dan Furman.
John Geronimo (Priest)
As a Filipino-American, John grew up in Brooklyn, NY and NJ and discovered his passion for acting when he visited his motherland at the age of 14. John participated in athletics in high school and politics in college, graduating with a Business degree & secondary studies in Theatre and Communications. Soon after, he continued his training at the New York Film Academy, Stella Adler Studio of Acting NYC, and Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute LA. John has gained experience working with young writers and directors through film competitions, local plays, and independent films. John notes, "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work with the inspirational Pastor Princeton Holt, a wonderful cast, and a life changing story."
Chris Riquinha (Priest)
Ever since lighting up the stage at Sunshine Day school in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Chris has felt at home on stage and in front of a camera. He has gone on to supporting and leading roles in plays, such as Guys and Dolls, and film alike, including Richard Haines new thriller. Its clear in Chris mind and in those who see him work, that Chris has found his true passion and that which he has been placed on this world to do. Last year Chris starred in the leading role in the award winning, critically acclaimed feature film Uptown, directed by Brian Ackley for which he was nominated for Best Leading Actor by the LSU Cinema Club in Baton Rouge, LA.
